Calera man, 29, killed in single-vehicle crash in Shelby County

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. -- A Calera man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Shelby County last week, Alabama State Troopers announced today.Michael Eades, 29, died around 11 p.m. on the night of May 23 after the vehicle he was driving on County Road 54 in Pearidge left the road and struck a tree. According to state troopers, Eades wasn't wearing a seat belt.Per his Facebook profile, Eades was a 2003 graduate of Oak Mountain High School and had been employed by Charter Fire Systems since 2009.An investigation remains ongoing.Eades was the third Alabama man to die in single-vehicle accidents over Memorial Day weekend.
