Calera man charged with murder in shooting death of 40-year-old Clanton woman

The Clanton woman found dead at a home in Calera Thursday night died of a gunshot wound, according to a police report released Friday night.
Calera police responded to a domestic disturbance report around 6 p.m. at a home on Slab Hill Road. Upon arriving, officers found 40-year-old Lisa Langston shot to death in a yard next to the residence.
Following an investigation, police arrested 22-year-old Demetrius Watson, of Calera, and charged him with murder. He currently remains in the Shelby County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
Information regarding a possible motive in the killing hasn't been made available.

Calera police have arrested a man in connection with a murder of a Clanton woman Thursday night, Chief Sean Lemley confirmed to ABC 33/40.
According to family members, 40-year-old Lisa Langston was killed around 6 p.m. at a home on Slab Hill Road in south Calera.
Demetrius R. Watson has since been charged in the killing and he is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
Details surrounding the murder haven't been released as authorities continue to investigate.
