Camera assistant killed after train collision remembered by colleagues during Oscars
A27-year-old camera assistant killed by a train during a movie shoot insoutheast Georgia was remembered by her colleagues on Oscar night.
SarahElizabeth Jones was killed and seven film crew members were injured in the Feb.20 train collision outside Savannah during shooting for "MidnightRider," a film based on the life of singer Gregg Allman.
InSavannah, dozens of film industry workers remembered Jones during anOscar-viewing party and in Atlanta hundreds of people attended a memorialservice for Jones on Sunday at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Thousandsof people had signed petitions asking for Jones to be included in the "InMemoriam" segment during the Oscars. That didn't happen, but an onscreenbanner with her name and photo was shown during the broadcast.
