Friday morning apartment fire in Center Point called "suspicious"
A Friday morning fire at a Center Point apartment complex is being investigated by the fire marshal as suspicious.
The fire, believed to have originated in an attached utility shed, started at around 6 a.m. at a Valley Court Apartment where two adults and eight children, all under the age of 13, were living. All of the occupants were able to escape unharmed.
District of Center Point Fire Marshal Matt Angelo and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office are questioning a person of interest. No arrests have been made at this time.
