The Centers for Disease Control is warning about tick bites.Experts say the easiest way to avoid getting bitten is to stay clear of where ticks live, which is mostly in wooded areas. Otherwise use repellents that contain 20% to 30% deet, which should protect you for a few hours. Do a full body check when you come inside. Take an immediate shower and throw the clothes you were wearing in the dryer on high for an hour.
Ticks can carry like Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
