Thousands of toys lined the Sugar Plum Shop inside Children's of Alabama as parents of children who will spend Christmas in the hospital sorted through presents Friday.
"We had twins," said Anthony Talley, whose daughter has been in the hospital for nearly eight months. "We lost one , but we have one that's really doing well."
Friday morning, Talley and his wife, Tamika, picked out presents for their oldest daughter.
"With all the things that we have gone through, it is a blessing to take part in this," said Tamika Talley.
This this the fourth year the shop has been open, and employees say it's grown every year. Many of the presents were donated through the Toys for Tots drive.
