Christion Jones steals the show at BCS media day
BCS media day is supposed to be an opportunity for reporters to interview players and coaches, but for Alabama receiver Christion Jones, it was his turn to ask the questions.
Jones, a junior from Minor High School, took advantage of the relaxed atmosphere inside Sun Life Stadium Saturday to joke around with his teammates, reporters and one ESPN host.
Rece Davis, a well-known ESPN Sportscenter anchor, was one of the many people Jones interviewed throughout the day.
"I'm going to ask you a question. If I have a question, and I don't have an answer to that question, but you do, you don't really have the answer to the question to give me an answer, right?" Jones asked Davis, puzzling the former Muscle Shoals resident.
Despite all the fun and games, Jones knows his time in Miami is a business trip with a national championship on the line.
"It's a time to get your mind off football for a bit." Jones told ABC 33/40's Jeff Speegle. "[Alabama] knows it's a business trip, but at the same time you still have got your mindset of trying to relax and get yourself together so that you can approach this game with the right mindset."
Even star running back Eddie Lacy joined in on the fun, posing a serious question for Jones.
"When you come off the field, do you drink water or Gatorade first?" Lacy asked.
After taking a moment to ponder his answer, Jones replied, "Oh, that's a good question. When the Gatorade and ice melts, it goes up, and now you're drinking both!"
When asked what fans can expect to see on Monday night, Jones said, "If you are at the game Monday, you'll see everything you want to see Monday. We're going to show down Monday."
