Church Members had little to say about ministers heroin arrest

Paul Martin is charged with possession of a controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Tuesday. Police found Martin passed out in his car while it was still running, along with a syringe by his leg on the seat.

Since the arrest, the church has dismissed Martin as minister. Sunday, the Columbiana Church of Christ congregation didn't want to comment on camera. But off camera they say they are saddened by this incident. In{}the{}bulletin, Martin's name is listed to remember in prayer.

Ralph Warner, a neighbor of Martin says, "I feel like he backslid and made a mistake, and he could come back by repenting to the Lord."

Since Martin's arrest he was able to bond out on $7500. Martin is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on August 7th. The possession charge is a felony.
