Community-Wide Day of Service Planned In Gadsden Saturday

Teams of volunteers will spend their Saturday making a different at local schools and neighborhood. "Bridging communities builds better neighborhoods," said Sheila Freeman, event coordinator for Impact Gadsden 2013. "Impact Gadsden is an opportunity for everyone to come together and improve the community. From painting and gardening to writing encouraging cards for nursing home residents or packing food for children who participate in the backpacks for hunger program, there are ways everyone can get involved."
