Congresswoman Sewell to launch job training effort
7th District Congresswoman Terri Sewell will host the first Project R.E.A.D.Y seminar on Friday March 8th at Lawson State Community College. The event will be from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. Project R.E.A.D.Y (Realizing Every one's Ability to Develop Yourself), is a series of workforce development training seminars. The goal of Project R.E.A.D.Y is to facilitate employment in Alabama's 7th Congressional District by promoting public-private partnerships, job readiness, skills training and career development.
"Job creation remains my top priority and I hope my constituents will take full advantage of a Project R.E.A.D.Y workshop in a town near them," Rep. Sewell said.
The Lawson State event will launch a series of workshops throughout the 7th Congressional district as part of Sewell's workforce training initiative. Those interested in attending can register online at www.sewell.house.gov
