Cooper Green CFO is retiring at end of the month

Cooper Green Chief Financial Officer John Garrett is retiring from{}his position on November 30th. The Jefferson County county manager{}says it has nothing to do with the changes coming to the county's hospital.{}

County manager Tony Petelos says Garrett turned in his resignation on Friday but says it did not come as a surprise. According to Petelos, Garrett has been discussing retirement over the last few years and had even mentioned leaving at the end of the year.

The search for another CFO has not begun. In the meantime, the county's finance department is expected to handle the hospital's financial needs.
