Copper Top shooting suspect to plead 'Not Guilty'

Nathan Van Wilkins, the suspect of the July 17th Copper Top Bar shooting will enter a plea of not guilty according to his attorney Joseph Van Heest.

Wilkins arraignment was scheduled for today but Van Heest says unless jailed suspects are charged with capital murder, their cases are normally not brought to court for arraignment.

Instead, ABC 33-40 has learned Wilkins has completed a 'Plea of Not Guilty and Waiver of Arraignment' form that will be filed with the court.

Wilkins faces 68 charges, including arson and{}attempted murder surrounding the{}July 17th{}bar shooting that injured 17 people and one other person that was shot at a home in Northport earlier that night on July 16th.
