Daniel Biles could become Jefferson County's second deputy county manager. The Jefferson County Commission will vote on hiring him Wednesday.
Biles is currently the executive director of public works for the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. He's only held the position for six months. But he's managed the city's infrastructure including overseeing solid waste management and the streets. It's similar to the position he'd hold in Jefferson County.
The official title is Deputy County Manager- Infrastructure. He'd be joining Deputy County Manager Walter Jackson and County Manager Tony Petelos to help oversee county operations.
A search committee was hired to find deputy county manager candidates. Biles was among the finalists.
