Government spends billions on back pay after shutdown

The 16-day government shutdown cost the federal government roughly $6 billion{}in back pay to federal workers.

That's the tally coming from the Office of Management and Budget's latest report.{} Workers have since{}been reimbursed for the time they were furloughed.
