Could security lines get even longer?

Airport security wait times may be soon get a lot longer. {}Staffing cuts could be one consequence of forced spending cuts due to take effect on March 1st. {}Airports across the country will be impacted if the $85 billion dollars in federal budget cuts go through as scheduled.Many federal agencies, including those that handle airport security, customs, and air traffic control, will be forced to furlough employees. {}The Transportation Security Administration could be forced to reduce its front-line workforce, including seven-day furloughs for airport screeners, according to a report by the House Appropriations Committee. {}It also outlined that air-traffic controllers, technicians and other Federal Aviation Administration workers would have to take 11 days of mandatory, unpaid time off during the fiscal year.
