Lincoln couple arrested for breaking into Etowah Co. house

A Lincoln couple was arrested{}after deputies said they broke into an Etowah County{}house July 27.

Below is{}a news release from the Etowah County Sheriff's Department detailing the charges:

A Lincoln couple was arrested and charged in connection to stolen property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

"Sean Patrick Boozer, 33, and Jessica Rochelle Baker, 35, both of Lincoln, are each charged with one count of third degree burglary and one count of second degree theft of property, both are felonies," says Investigator Jason Argo.

Boozer and Baker allegedly broke into a house, on Saturday, July 27, located on Coates Bend Circle.

Deputy Bradley Saylor received a phone call from a witness, who passed by the residence, stating that he believed the home was being broken into. Deputy Saylor arrived at the home within minutes of the call and found Baker sitting inside a pickup truck in the residence's driveway.

Baker stated that the truck was broken down and her boyfriend, Boozer, had gone to buy a new battery. When Deputy Shari Bellew arrived to assist Deputy Saylor they found the back door of the residence kicked in and upon further searching, found Boozer hiding in a bush with a concealed pistol on his ankle.

"Boozer has also been charged with one count of illegal carry of a concealed gun," says Deputy Saylor.

The duo was also in possession of a bag, which had the home owner's name and address printed on it and four antique canisters.

Boozer and Baker are currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center. Boozer is being held on $6,000 bond and Baker has a $5,000 bond. Baker also has an outstanding traffic warrant in Chilton County.
