Friday morning, the State Court of Civil Appeals denied the request of Brookwood Medical Center and St. Vincent's Hospital for a rehearing on their arguments against the relocation of Trinity Medical Center.
Trinity expects to move to a facility on Highway 280. CEO Keith Granger said, "We appreciate the Court's decision today and we are delighted to take another important step forward in our relocation. We are hopeful this will mark the end of the legal wrangling and the beginning of improved access to healthcare and the creation of thousands of new jobs."
In November, 2012, the Civil Appeals court ruled 5-0 against an appeal by Brookwood Medical Center and St. Vincent's Hospital aimed at stopping Trinity's relocation.
