Crime Stoppers April 23: Robbery investigation at Hoover pharmacy

Suspect #1

Crime Stoppers needs your help in a robbery that took place April 17th at the CVS in Inverness Plaza. Pictures of the suspects police hope you can identify are posted to the right of this story.

That afternoon, the black male suspect walked inside the store.

"While he was in the store, he selected merchandise, put that merchandise in his waistband, and concealed it," said Hoover Police Department's Brian Foreman.

As the suspect was leaving, the store manager told him to return the items, which were several packs of razor blades.

"He told her, 'If you follow me, I've got a gun,'"added Foreman. "The black female suspect, who had entered the store separately, was with the black male on the way out, and she told the manager he does have a gun. At that point the manager backed off."

The suspects left in a dark blue, newer model Volkswagen sedan.

"The public has a vested interest to help these two individuals and get them off the street, because if they hurt somebody, more than likely it will be a member of the public," said Foreman.
