      Crime Stoppers August 27: Clues needed in Mountain Brook identity theft case

      Suspect seen at Home Depot on Crestwood Blvd. and NTB on Gadsden Hwy in Roebuck

      MOUNTAIN BROOK IDENTITY THEFT CASE:

      Mountain Brook detectives need your help solving an identity theft case. Earlier this year, a man opened his mailbox and discovered bills from Home Depot and National Tire & Battery{}for items he didn't purchase.

      Police said{}the suspect, whose pictures are posted to the right of this story,{}opened charge accounts at the stores and made several large purchases in his name.

      February 27, the suspect used the fraudulent account at Home Depot on Crestwood Blvd. and charged more than $800 in building materials. Several days later on March 2, the man bought a set of{}all terrain tires valued at more than $1,600.

      The suspect appears to be left-handed and has a bald spot on the top of his head.
