"I'm Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper. The victim was a transient. After he was killed, the suspects went through his pockets, and we need to know who they are.
This is Pablo Olmeda. He was killed Tuesday, December 2nd.
This is what we know.
That day, officers were called to the 4200 block of 3rd Avenue South.
When they got there, they saw Olmeda lying face down on the sidewalk. He had been shot.
A witness said he saw the victim arguing with two black males wearing all black. During the argument, the witness saw one of the suspects pull out a pistol and shoot the victim. The suspects fled to Havenwood Apartments.
Then, they got into a burgundy Buick Regal and left going east on 3rd Avenue South.
