Crime Stoppers January 14: Who killed an elderly Cullman County man?

Galin's residence on St. Joseph Drive

Who killed a 74-year-old Cullman County man? That's the information investigators hope you can provide through anonymous tips.

Fredrick Galin lost his life December 2013. He was last seen at the Jack's Hamburgers on West Main Street December 16. Police found his body inside his house on St. Joseph Drive three days later after a concerned friend called police.

"He was a very generous individual," said Cullman County Sheriff's Office investigator Justin Tyus. "He always had a smile on his face and was very independent."

There was no signed of forced entry at his house, leading authorities to believe Galin was either surprised by his attacker or knew the killer.

A sketch of a man seen in the area when Galin may have been killed was released. He's a person of interest described as a white male, between the ages of 40 and 50, 6'01'', and left-handed.

"He also had dirty hands," added Tyus. "Like somebody who worked outside in landscaping or maybe an auto mechanic."

If you have any information about the person of interest or the case, contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
