Crime Stoppers July 20: Jerone Murphy's killing still unsolved

Birmingham police needs your help in this week's Crime Stoppers case involving the June murder of Jerone Murphy. He was shot and killed Sunday, June 16.

We know who has the real story of what happened to Jerone Murphy. If you know then{}tell us.

The 30-year-old was shot and killed Sunday, June 16th on the 100 block of Tuscaloosa Avenue Southwest.

Shortly before midnight, police were called to that location on a person shot. Murphy was lying in the grass and had been shot. He was taken to UAB Hospital but died.

A witness says Murphy was walking east on Tuscaloosa Avenue Southwest when a silver Ford Taurus drove up. We're told Murphy was talking to three black males inside the car. Then a person in the front seat shot him.
