MOUNTAIN BROOK THEFT TURNS INTO SHOPPING SPREE:A Mountain Brook theft turned into a shopping spree for three May 6 after a woman's purse was stolen in her driveway. Detectives said a yard worker and two women are accused of using the stolen credit cards later that day. Two of the women are caught on camera at a Foot Locker on Bessemer Road. Their pictures are posted to the right of this story."These individuals hit three different shoe stores, including a Foot Locker, a Hibbett Sports, and a Payless Shoes, as well as a gas station on the west side of town," said Jefferson County Sgt. Brian Allison. "They charged up $700 on this victim's credit cards."If you have any information on who they are, contact Crime Stoppers now.
