Crime Stoppers March 26: Suspect seen inside adult bookstore wanted for robbery outside business

Suspect in robbery investigation

A man seen inside a Birmingham adult bookstore is wanted for an armed robbery that happened outside the business. There could be possible kidnapping charges filed in the case.

"If he's willing to do this to this victim, who knows who else he would do this to," said Birmingham Detective Pat Green.

Police said the victim was stopped at a red light on 1st Avenue when the suspect targeted him and ordered him to drive. They stopped somewhere along Oporto Madrid Blvd., and the suspect took the victim's cell phone, money and ring, which had a Superman emblem on it.

"The reason why the Superman ring is so important is because he could probably show up at a pawn shop somewhere and probably trade it in for money," added Green.

If you've seen the suspect, whose picture is posted to the right of this story, contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
