The drug is a chemical compound used to make synthetic drugs commonly called "spice." Authorities say about 4 pounds of the drug was allegedly shipped from China to a home near Boaz in Etowah County. The drug is so new the DEA has yet to decide to classify it as a controlled substance. It's already controlled under state law.
