Democrats, Republicans make final push before Nov. 6

The race to the polls is{}in full swing{}as supporters on both sides of the political fence make one final push before election day.

"Our vote is our voice," said voter Willis Pride. "It's just very important for us to participate in that process."

Republicans and Democrats spent Monday calling voters and campaigning.

"Voters are excited," said Republican supporter Michael Ciamarra. "People want to cast their vote and change the country for the better."

"Today we're doing caravans around the city and around the neighborhoods," said Richard Mauk, chairman of the Jefferson County Democratic Party. "Several of the candidates have got five or six or seven cars going around local neighborhoods getting some attention and building up some enthusiasm."
