Many people just stop going to depression therapy before it has a chance to help.{} But now, research indicates that therapy done over the phone might keep more people in treatment.

Study results published in the latest Journal of the American Medical Association show that about 21% of people receiving therapy via telephone dropped out, compared to 33 percent of those in face-to-face therapy.

Some of the barriers include transportation problems, time constraints and availability of services.

According to the study as much as 10% of Americans experience depression in a given year.#
