For thesecond time this week, Carnival Cruise Lines says one of its ships hasexperienced problems during a cruise.
LateThursday, the company said "a technical issue" affecting the sailingspeed of the Carnival Legend forced the cancellation of a stop at Grand CaymanIslands.
Legend is expected to arrive in Tampa as scheduled Sunday following aseven-day cruise. Passengers will get a $100 credit, refunds on pre-purchasedshore excursions in Grand Cayman and half off on a future cruise.
AnotherCarnival ship, the Dream, experienced problems with an on-board generator whiledocked in St. Maarten and the company announced Thursday that passengers wouldbe flown home.
A month ago, passengers onthe Carnival Triumph spent five days in the Gulf of Mexico without power orworking toilets.
