      Do prescription drug warnings increase sales?

      A new study, published in "Psychological Science" shows warning labels can actually boost a prescription's appeal.The study tested consumer habits after watching cigarette and artificial sweetener ads - both of which came with some pretty strong warnings.Researchers found participants who were given the opportunity to purchase the product soon after seeing an ads bought less if the ad included a warning. But participants who made purchases of the product a few days later bought more if the ad included the warning.
