Owner, trainer among 4 arrested in drug raid at Tuscaloosa K-9 Academy

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ala. -- West Alabama Drug Task Force agents executed a search warrant at the Tuscaloosa K9 Academy Wednesday afternoon after nearly a month-long investigation into illegal drug activity at the training facility.

Authorities were tipped off about the possible sale of drugs at the location around a month ago and an investigation led by the 24th Judicial Court Drug Task Force began immediately. Prior to the raid, undercover agents made several purchases of marijuana and "ice" a k a crystal methamphetamine at the dog camp.

Four people were arrested during the bust, including owner Heather "Red" Litz and trainer Bryan McQueen. Agents say they expect more charges to be filed.
