Early morning chase ends with wreck, suspects on the loose.

At approximately 3:00 AM, Shelby County Sheriff's deputiesresponded to the 5500 block of Parkside Drive to investigate a report of aperson with a weapon.{}{}The suspect left the area in a white Acuraprior to the deputy's arrival and was later seen traveling on Cahaba ValleyTrace.{}The vehicle refused to stop and attempted to elude deputies as theypursued it.{}{}The suspect lost control of the vehicle at theintersection of Cahaba Valley Road and Eagle Crest Drive and crashed.{}{}Twoblack males fled on foot from the scene.{}{}Deputies discovered thatthe car was reported to be stolen from Pelham.

Shelby CountySheriff's deputies, with the assistance of Hoover and Pelham police officers,established a perimeter around the area and began searching for the twosuspects.{}{}At 5:37 AM the Sheriff's Office received a report of astolen vehicle from a residence in the 1100 block of Eagle Park Road.{} The vehicle that was stolen is a black 2009Chevrolet 2500 Silverado truck with Alabama tag number 58X12038.{}{}Thetruck reportedly had a hunting rifle in it, has a black bed cover and "Rest inPeace" sticker on the back window.{}{}It is believed the suspects fromthe earlier pursuit stole this truck and left the area.{}{}In additionto this stolen truck, numerous vehicles in the general area have been brokeninto.

After approximatelythree hours of searching without success, the area was reopened to thepublic.{}{}The suspects remain at large and should be considered armedand dangerous.

The stolen black2009 Chevrolet 2500 Silverado truck was later found unoccupied by Birminghampolice officers on 7th{}Avenue in Wylam.{}{}The huntingrifle was not recovered.
