East Side Baptist church was one of the three churches destroyed in the county. It took a lot of time and fundraising, but they have a new, bigger and safer place to worship.
Today, the church held a dedication service. Members say their glad to be back in a church home.
Bennie-Sue Gann says, "Overall, we could not have a better laid out plan for our church."
Jewel Reid, who has been a member for over 30 years says, "We have come through a lot in two years. God has blessed us and let us have a new building. It's a new beginning for us to glorify God and we're all blessed."
Members say the new building is truly a blessing. No one from the church was injured from the tornado two years ago.
