Eddie Lacy was considered one of the most impressive rookies in the NFL this season.
The Pro Football Writers of America ended the debate after naming the Green Bay Packers' running back as its Rookie of the Year.
Lacy, a former star at Alabama, set a franchise, rookie record with the Packers, rushing for 1,178 yards on 284 carries and 11 touchdowns, which was third in the NFL among all running backs.
Another Alabama rookie, San Diego Chargers tackle D.J. Fluker, was also named to the PFWA All-Rookie team.
Lacy and Fluker were two of nine former Crimson Tide players selected in last year's draft.
