Elder Abuse Prevention Grant

Elderly abuse victims in Calhoun County may soon get a second chance. The county is getting a $250,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Violence against Women{}and the local domestic violence victims' group - 2nd Chance Inc.It {}will be used to train law enforcement officers to identify and prevent elder abuse. 2nd Chance Inc. is the grant recipient and will organize the training.
