Election set for Birmingham's District 4 seat


A date is now set for a special election for the Birmingham City Council District Four seat.It's the seat currently held by William Parker. He was appointed to the post after his mother's death left the council seat vacant last November. Councilwoman Maxine Parker had been elected President of the City Council at the time.ABC 33/40 has learned the vote on who will hold the council seat is set for June 3, which is the same day as state and county primary elections.The City of Birmingham will have separate polling for the race at voting precincts within District Four.Councilor William Parker says he will run for the office.
