Emergency workers walk off the job


Emergency service employees in Gadsden walked-off the job Friday evening. They claim it's been more than a month since they've received a paycheck from their employer, Gadsden-Etowah EMS.Roger Stanmore of Huntsville owns the Gadsden-Etowah EMS. He also owns Decatur EMS.Emergency service employees at the Decatur site walked out just two weeks ago, after complaints of not receiving paychecks.Gadsden Fire Chief Stephen Carroll says, the city will rely on Rural Metro EMS to perform rescue transports during this time.
