Ensley shooting victim dies on way to hospital

A dispute has lead to the shooting death of a Birmingham man in Ensley.{} Johnta Tate was pronounced dead on arrival at U.A.B. Hospital after being shot at a car wash in the 500 block of 18th Street in Ensley, Tuesday evening.

A suspect has been taken into custody, but the identity of the suspect has not been released.

Officers from Birmingham's West Precinct responded to the incident location to investigate a call of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported the victim to U.A.B. Hospital for treatment.
