EPA to give update on testing in north Birmingham

The Environmental Protection Agency will update residents Thursday night in north Birmingham concerning environmental testing.For the last year, the EPA has conducted sampling tests in the Collegeville, Fairmont and Harriman Park neighborhoods, collectively designated a Superfund Site. Several industrial facilities, including Walter Coke, are located in the communities.The EPA {}has tested more than 1,100 properties in the neighborhoods.At 6 p.m. at Hudson K-8 School in Collegeville, EPA officials will discuss the results, talk about next steps and answer residents' questions.Stay with ABC 33/40 for more on this developing story.
