Jamey Brent Williams was found by his employer at around 9:30 a.m. outside his home located at 608 Pope Road in the Tidmore Bend community. The employer was at the house to check on the victim after he failed to show up for work.

Deputies were called to the residence and arrived to find Williams shot once in the head and once in the chest. Investigators believe a high-powered rifle was used from close range in the shooting. Neighbors told deputies that they heard gunshots at around 6:30 a.m.
