      Etowah County resident interrupts burglary, 52-year-old Gadsden man arrested

      ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. -- A Gadsden man has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary Wednesday in Ridgeville, Sheriff Todd Entrekin said.

      Robin Gene Bishop, 52, is charged with one felony count of first-degree theft of property and one felony count of third-degree burglary, according to Sgt. Jason Argo.

      According to a release, the owner of a home on Main Street called authorities after spotting Bishop loading stolen items into a truck. Upon arriving, deputies took Bishop into custody and located more items taken from the house in a nearby wooded-area.

      A second suspect in the burglary managed to elude capture.

      Bishop was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center, where he is being held on bonds totaling $7,500.
