The Florida Gators gave basketball coach Billy Donovan a three year contract extension, even before the team began it's postseason run.
Donovan and the school agreed to the new deal last month, which runs through the 2018-19 season and will play him $3.7 million a year on average.
Donovan can also trigger contract bonuses for winning the SEC regular-season title and SEC tournament. There also a bonus if the Gators reach the Sweet 16 and Final Four, and for winning the National Championship.
Florida became the first team in SEC history to go 18-0 in the regular season and have won a school-record 28 consecutive games. The Gators advanced to the Sweet 16 for the fourth consecutive year and will play UCLA on Thursday for a spot in the Elite 8.
