Football coach Scott Martin is on the move.
He's the new football coach at Ohatchee high school after spending the past two seasons at Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.
The Patriots advanced to the Class 6A playoffs in both seasons under Martin.
"It is a very intriguing situation," Martin told AL.com. "I realize why folks will say why leave a 6A school for a Class 2A school that will now be a Class 3A in the new classification. But my whole career I have gone to places there were down to rebuild programs with the exception of maybe a couple of times."
Ohatchee has not reached the playoffs in the last 10 seasons and it's only victory in 2013 came by forfeit.
Martin is the Indians sixth coach in 11 years.
Ohatchee will be the third school of his head coaching career. Martin was at Calera for the 2009 and 2010 seasons prior to his stint at Hillcrest.
Martin's teams have reached the postseason in each of his four seasons as an Alabama high school head coach.
