Former Alabama House Employee Indicted

A former Alabama House employee has been indicted on charges of failing to file his income tax returns and failing to pay taxes.

41-Year-Old William Clay Covington surrendered to authorities at the Montgomery County Sheriff's office.{} Covington resigned last week as a House journal clerk.{}{} {}Covington is charged with failing to pay income taxes on over $237,600 in wages from the state and $277,000 on income from the VictoryLand Cascino and the Jefferson County Race Track.{} {}{} {}
