Former Brookside police chief arrested on theft, ethics violation charges
Former Brookside Police Chief Dennis Ray McCoy was arrested last week on seven various charges, according to court records.
McCoy is charged with three counts of use of public position for person gain, two felony counts of theft of property, one count of breaking and entering a vehicle and one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He has since been released from the Jefferson County Jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
A Jefferson County grand jury handed down the indictments Sept. 20 and McCoy was arrested a short time later.
