Former Cordova City Hall catches fire, Mayor suspects arson

The former Cordova City Hall caught fire, Sunday evening, according to Mayor Jack Scott.

Scott says the fire started sometime around 6:00 p.m. and that, at one point, it was "pretty big."

He says multiple fire departments were called to the scene to contain the blaze. Scott said the fire was contained around 8:00 p.m.

The actual cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Scott believes it might have been the work of arsonists, "Just like the last time."

Back in June, Scott says children were to blame for a fire that happened in the downtown area.
