Former Alabama star Tony Mitchell is going to get his NBA opportunity.
Mitchell will reportedly sign a 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, which would put him on an NBA regular season roster for the first time in his career.
Yahoo! Sports was first to report the story.
Mitchell played at Alabama from 2009-12, but he was dismissed from the basketball program in the middle of his junior season for conduct detrimental to the team, according to AL.com.
He went undrafted in 2012, but was named the NBA Developmental League's Rookie of the Year last season and is averaging more than 20 points a game in two seasons in the NBDL.
Mitchell also won the D-league dunk contest each of the last two years.
