Former UGA star Isaiah Crowell cleared of felony weapons charges

Former Georgia Bulldogs star Isaiah Crowell has been cleared of two felony weapons charges, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.

"He has been formally and completely exonerated of criminal wrongdoing and will now be able to live his life and pursue his career without the fear of losing his freedom," Crowell's lawyer told the Advertiser.

Crowell contributed immediately at UGA and was the 2011 SEC Freshman of the Year. In June, 2012 he was arrested when his car was stopped on the Georgia campus and authorities found a handgun under the drivers seat.

He was dismissed from the University of Georgia and enrolled at Alabama State University.

Crowell was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2012 after leading ASU with 842 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns.
