Former Washington assistant Tosh Lupoi will be Alabama intern

Former Pac 12 assistant Tosh Lupoi will join Alabama in an "internship" role.

Nick Saban says Lupoi, who is a former Recruiter of the Year, will help Alabama improve it's recruiting platform.

"A lot of the electronic media part of recruiting, which is something that we feel like we need to improve," Saban said.

Lupoi was the defensive line coach at Washington the past two seasons but he and the school parted ways in January under pressure of an NCAA investigation into the Huskies football program.

The NCAA's investigation cleared Lupoi and Washington of any wrong doing.

Lupoi played college football at Cal from 2000-2005 and joined the bears coaching staff in 2006, serving as a graduate assistant and later the defensive line coach.

He was named the Recruiter of the Year in 2010.

In other news, Saban announced that Tyler Siskey will be the Tide's new Director of Player Personnel. Siskey was the assistant director of player personnel last season.
