Former WMU lineman Roosevelt Donaldson transfers to Samford

BIRMINGHAM - AL — Defensive lineman Roosevelt Donaldson has transferred to Samford and expects to be an impact player for the Bulldogs next season. He started classes at Samford on Monday."I really like the coaching staff, the environment and the players here," Donaldson said in a press release. "I feel like I can make an impact on the team. I feel like I can come in and make something happen."Donaldson spent last season at Western Michigan and has three years of eligibility remaining.He was a three-star prospect when he signed with WMU in 2012. Donaldson redshirted his first season before earning significant playing time last year. He played in all 11 games in 2013, including 2 starts, and finished with 27 tackles and four tackles for loss.Samford opens the 2014 season at TCU on August 30. The game is scheduled to air on FOX Sports Net.
