Fraternity feeds the homeless

This Saturday is about giving back for a group of young men.

The Tau Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity helped feed the homeless. Members stopped by the Jimmie Hale Mission in Birmingham.

While serving lunch, they collected donations and clothing.{}

Volunteers say it's their way of raising awareness about poverty.

"They are valuable members of society and that we are here to help give them that encouragement," chapter president Roderick Wilkins said.

Phi Beta Sigma is a service oriented fraternity.

Saturday's "feeding the homeless" event was part of the group's annual service project.
